Features & Benefits of Composite Doors

Security and peace of mind are simply a given when you choose a Composite Door from Value Windows. Top of the range materials and components, which are accredited and approved by the police, are brought together to produce a door that allows you to relax whether you’re at home or not.

Cylinder locks have been tried and tested against the most modern techniques used by criminals and are proven to withstand even the most thought-out attack. This is matched by a multi-point locking system which secures the door into its frame in a number of places when the handle is lifted upwards.

Even the hinges have been designed with your safety in mind! Everywhere you look on our Composite Doors, there is a component that has been accredited for its impressive security and that has been used by us so that you can feel safe in your home.

When it comes to front and back doors, a composite door is the natural choice to make for you and your home. It is not just about the beauty of the Composite Door but the huge range of glass designs, colours and how they will look in your home. • 1. Timber Grain Effect

Someone clever once said that quality is in the detail. So what does that tell us about plain, white polystyrene-filled panel doors? The timber effect grain of one of our doors gives a rich, classic style to your house - and a very warm welcome home. Now that is clever.

  • 2. Available in 7 Colours

Our Composite Doors come in seven external colours; red, green, blue, black, white, oak and now also in darkwood. The internal colour is white.

The solid colours - red, green, blue, white and black - are pre-pigmented which means the colour is added during the manufacturing process ensuring they stay looking great for many years.

The light oak finish is a hand-applied stained finish to give depth to the wood grain.

Finally all the doors have a high gloss, UV resistant film to give them a final sheen.

  • 3. Darkwood Colour

The new wood grain door is really great...honestly! After months of development our two tone 'Dark Wood' door complements both mahogany or a rosewood frame. This wood grain door is guaranteed to give a unique 'is it real' look.

  • 4. Dedicated Low Threshold

Customers who like a low threshold will get to enjoy a Part M compliant door specially designed for Composite Doors. Its features include a concealed face drainage and it fits site lines like a glove with a 70mm measurement front to back. It also has a top of the line thermal break. We also match the low threshold with the hardware, so it comes in gold, anodized or black.

  • 5. Dedicated Top Box Transom

Our Composite Doors are adaptable. Each Composite Door has a transom bar dedicated to the frame and it is all one piece, this improves the durability of the door and makes it more stylish. Putting a top box is very simple.

Remember that the glass pattern for the door will be echoed in the top box.

  • 6. Composite Door Side Panels

The door frame is also used in the side panels so the colour will match perfectly. They come glazed or matched with a composite infill panel at a size of 484mm. The glazing occurs internally and the pattern will mimic the main door unless you prefer another pattern. It can also include a transom section made of the same composite material.

The side panels are fitted with an aluminum coupling section which is 20mm and PVC coated. Any glass design can be used for these panels.

  • 7. Composite Door - GRP Skin

Composite Door side panels will use the matching Composite Door frame so the colour will be the same. These side panels can be glazed or they can come with a similar composite infill panel. If glazed, the panels will be internally glazed first and will have a matching glass pattern with the main door.

It will also include a very special composite transom section. If you choose the composite panels they measure 484mm and they are attached using sturdy aluminium coupling sections, sized 20mm.
